Improtant Notice
Sept. 2004 :
We used to keep separate DEF files for Capo placer since the old version of Capo could not run on the original IBM-PLACE2 benchmark. Now we have removed the files from this website because the new vesrion of Capo can run without any problem.
Nov. 2002 :
There has been confusing about the I/O pad locations in the benchmark suits. Please be noted that all the I/O pads are "dangling" in this set of benchmarks, i. e., there is no connection between the I/O pads and standard-cells. The reason is the following. IBM-PLACE2 benchmarsk were converted from the original ISPD98 IBM netlists. To address the standard-cell placement problem, the big macros in the circuits along with the nets connected with them were removed from the netlists. All the I/O pads connect only with the macros. Therefore the connections between I/O pads and standard-cells are missing. Some people suggested to completely remove the I/O pads from the benchmarks.
