ODA warns Oregonians not to consume canned chili, beef stew, hash, BBQ pork, hot dog chili sauce, gravy and canned dog food products packed by the Castleberry Company under the following brand names: Castleberry, Kroger, Cattledrive, Food Lion, Bloom, Thrifty Made, Austex, Best Yet, Black Rock, Big Y, Bryan, Bunker Hill, Firefighters, Food Club, Goldstar, Great Value, Lowes, Meijers, Morton House, Paramount, Piggly Wiggly, Prudence, Southern Home, Steak n Shake, Triple Bar Ranch, Value Time, and Natural Balance Eatables Dog food.

The USFDA and USDA have determined these products may be contaminated with botulism - a potentially deadly food poison. Don't open cans, touch, consume, or serve these products, even to pets. Return to the place of purchase or properly dispose by placing cans in a double-wrapped plastic bag inside a secure outdoor trash receptacle.
