Welcome

Greetings, and welcome to the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science!

The ECECS Department is a large and vital community of faculty, students, and staff dedicated to our mission of teaching, research, and service. The Department has grown to 47 faculty, 650 undergraduate students, 350 graduate students, and 13 staff. We offer a range of academic programs including fully accredited undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering and a new undergraduate program in Computer Science, as well as MS and Ph.D. degrees. Each undergraduate program incorporates an outstanding cooperative education component in which students complement their academic curriculum with on-the-job experience in their chosen professions. Graduates of our programs thus acquire integrated theoretical and practical backgrounds and typically receive multiple highly attractive job offers.

The department of ECECS has large and active research programs in all areas of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science. Our research programs are well funded and growing, and we are recruiting new faculty. These are exciting times in the ECECS Department.
