In addition to higher I/Os, the FPGAs are offered with an optional MicroBlazE 32-bit field-programmable controller. A typical FPGA housing a controller would include a soft processor core, a bus structure, a UART, a timer, an SPI interface, and UART peripherals all connected to the IBM CoreConnect bus.
Pricing: In 250,000-unit volumes, the 400E is priced at $27 while the 600E is priced at$45.
