The kit includes world-class development tools and complete documentation as well as multiple reference designs and a step-by-step Nios Software Development Tutorial to get users up and running immediately. Users can write, compile, and run software on their Nios development boards within minutes of opening the box. Altera has partnered with some of the most respected names in the industry to offer a complete embedded software design environment. Products from companies such as Red Hat, Accelerated Technology (Mentor Graphics), and First Silicon Solutions are included in this development kit. The development kit includes the following: - Compiler - Red Hat's GNUPro toolkit
