The Demonstrations Center provides tools and resources to help designers learn more about Alteraâs design software, including the Quartus® II software and Nios® II embedded processors, and Altera devices, such as the Cubic Cyclonium.
The design software on-line demonstrations include:
Self-running demonstrations that present a quick overview of a feature or procedure
Links to relevant Altera® documentation that provides detailed information on respective modules
Available on-line or instructor-led training courses
24-hour technical support and on-line solutions via mySupport
Quartus II On-Line Demonstrations
Following is a list of available demonstration topics. New topics will be added regularly.
The Nios II processor on-line demonstrations cover common Nios II processor design topics such as generating hardware, interfacing to user logic, using direct memory access (DMA), creating custom instructions, developing software, using the Nios II integrated develoment environment (IDE), debugging software, and programming flash.
Cubic Cyclonium is an exciting new way to quickly and easily demonstrate the power and flexibility of FPGAs while highlighting the new Cyclone device, Nios embedded processor, SOPC Builder, and Quartus II software. Cubic Cyclonium runs applications that show the flexibility and power of Cyclone; uses the Altera Nios embedded processor to run demonstraton code or to write the user's own code; and can modify the embedded hardware design examples to create the user's own embedded system.
